My name's Merisa and I'm a consultant based in Toronto! I was born and raised in Leamington, ON (aka tomato town). I consider myself an optimist and an ENFP at heart. I enjoy taking photos with my Canon 5D Mark IV, reading books and staying active with kettlebell workouts, climbing, running and bike riding.
I am passionate about technical consulting and data analytics. I love gaining insights from huge amounts of data and collaborating with both technical and business users. I also enjoy being creative in designing user interfaces and presenting data. I aspire to expand my skills while also making a big impact. I'd love to chat!

I bring my camera nearly everywhere I go. I occasionally do portrait and engagement photography and have also done a few weddings! I love my Canon 5D Mark IV and my side kick the Canon 5D Mark II.
Check out my photography website which I also built using Javascript, HTML, CSS and hosting on Github!
For our fourth year engineering design project, our group worked with a non-profit organization, My Oral Village to design and develop a suite of Android games to teach numeracy skills to people in Tanzania. Innumeracy has extremely direct consequences on the cash economy and a person's wealth and we ensured our designs were sensitive to our target audience.
I acted as the designer and developer, designing assets in Illustrator as well as developing in Android Studio.
This was a project myself and 3 classmates did for our final Info Systems and Design project. We created a web app that recommends food based on time, desires and price. We wanted an app for students like us that have troubles finding places to eat. Think of it as a Songza but for food!
Requirements for the project included data flow diagrams, normalization tables and other fun stuff.
This is some miscellaneous design work I've done in Illustrator and Photoshop!
